Currently, the ITT Foundation carries out its projects in Spain and Gambia .
The Gambia is known as the smile of Africa.
West African country completely entirely surrounded by Senegal , except at the mouth of its river in the Atlantic Ocean.
It is the smallest country in continental Africa , with a population of 1.8 million.
Gambia is a fertile land that bases its economy on agriculture, fishing and tourism.
Approximately one third of the population lives below the poverty line . Its Human Development Index is one of the lowest in the world; with 0.441 it is ranked 175 out of 188 countries.
In Spain we carry out awareness and sensitization work through workshops, activities and talks in educational centers and companies.
Who are we on the ground?
Project coordinators and volunteers work in the field with a group of local collaborators involved from the first day in all our actions.
Among them are, Abdoulie Jallow , tour guide and architect of many solidarity projects in his country and together with Suleyman Bah , an excellent driver and Amadou Jallow >, our achiever, they form an excellent local team.
The teaching team is led by the directors, Remmey Sambo (Sare Bigi) and Arokie Manneh (Manduar) .
